I have spent loads of time looking at our beautiful planet via Google Earth. I’ve discovered amazing beaches, tracks of wild territory – all places i plan on going to.

I’ll admit that my favorite place is Africa. Always when i have a choice where i want to go to it lands up being some where in Africa. I just love the bush and the animals.

But I’m digressing as I’m suppossed to be writing about Google Earth. It came to mind because I was reading about it on the National Geographic Adventure Blog.

They mention that 7 new bird species were discovered in Mozambique and a coral reef fringing off Australia. Incredible.

I also read a while ago that scientists discovered thanks to Google earth that herds of cows stand about munching grass facing north.

Sure most people use Google for silly things like looking at their gardens – I’ve done that. But I’ve also looked at a whole lot of other places.

I find airports interesting – the way all the planes are parked.

It’s also sad to see how much of the jungle is dissapearing.

You can also see how many ships are in the water and pollution. Yikes.

Check out the planet on Google earth.

You’ll be glad to know that now you can fly a lot cheaper than ever before.

I’m always scanning the net for new offers because I love to travel.

Sometimes I choose to take a leisurely train trip especially when I’m in Europe but most often i want to get somewhere quickly and then a train trip is not the answer.

I found an amazing Ebook written by Tony Morrison who is an ex travel agent. In this book he reveals all the insider secrets on how you can get the cheapest flight always.

He shows you:

how to knock $100 dollars off your next ticket!

exposes truths about buying tickets online.

how you can earn free vouchers for airfare tickets.

and lots more.

Plus a whole lot of bonuses.

Seriously I got excited when I discovered this ebook – I’ve already made a big saving.

I know I’m prone to buying a lot of things in the internet – firstly cause I’m always willing to learn and discover new things and secondly sometimes I’m just darn curoius and can’t believe the claims people make about stuff. Buying this book was one of those cases. I just had to find out if his Airfare Secrets are really all that he says.

It only cost $24.95. I’ve spent that for crap. Let me just say that I was not dissapointed.

The information applys to all airlines around the world. So now there is no stopping you from having a wild adventure with me!

This ebook is a MUST HAVE if you fly a lot or plan to.

I can’t say much else other than this book is an excellent investment.

Save money on every single flight you take in future.

Go take a look at Cheap & Easy Fly and decide for yourself.

I don’t know about you, but I for one really enjoy luxurious travel and sumptious accomodation.

It’s not that I’m a snob. In fact I’m the sociable kind. I’m not hung up on peoples backgrounds or what college the went to. I love to travel. In my youth I was ecstatic with my interrail ticket around Europe – I not only saw the world but got a good taste and feel for it.

Luxury travel, especially in africa is a real treat.

It’s just so great to stay in a beautiful place like this:

Believe me when I tell you this place is stunning.

Pezula castle is tucked neatly into a nook at pezula beach.

The place is breath taking. You can forget your troubles.

I love wild adventures – I’m okay with a back pack and a sleeping bag – hey don’t fence me in remember?

What’s so great about Pezula is you can sleep on the veranda under the stars.

I’ve slept under the stars on numerous ocassions but errr well just lets say a thin little mat and a sleeping bag can be uncomfortable even though the experience is worth it. You won’t exactly hear lions roaring or see glowing eyes but you will hear the ocean and you will know that you’re absolutely safe and comfy.

If like me you want to see the Big 5 when in african don’t worry there’s wildlife around the corner, well almost – a short helicopter ride and you’re in the african bush.

Pezula is the greatest place in the world for a masterminding group.

Come to think of it – would you be interested in a masterminding session?

It would be a wonderful adventure and beneficial. We’d all leave a whole lot wiser than before.

Hmmm I just heard the new about Kgalema Motlanthe being chosen by the South African parlament to take the place of Thabo Mbeki. Too me this smacks of undemocratic politics.

Just so that you know I have dual nationality so that makes me Austro Afro.

Mr Motlane is currently the deputy leader of of the ruling African National Congress (ANC). Parlament is hoping that his calm aura will heal tensions in the party which is divided between supporters of Thabo Mbeki and Jacob Zuma.

Motlante is expected to serve until elections next year where it is antcipated that Zuma will become president. Yes I’m serious – it is scary because Zuma has been charged of rape and smells of corruption. Another African tradegy in the making?

Chairman – Joe Seremane of the Democratic Alliance says he will challenge Motlane in the vote. But I know and you know that the ANC is the majority party so who do you think will win?

With Mbeki being thrown out other members have resigned and of course this is causing uncertainity. What do they expect?

Unfortunately the financial Minister Trevor Manual also resigned – but he does say he’ll be happy to serve another minister.

There is no plan to change the economic policy which is sad for South Africa but good for visitors because the South African rand is weak – even weaker than the US dollar ha ha – sorry but I couldn’t resist that. So slap me.

But NOW is the time to come to South Africa .

You will get great value for money.

Come to South Africa to have all your filming requirements met.

South Africa is famous for it’s locations, professional & friendly crew. Contact me I can help you. Me and the other 2 smiling faces on the wine ad in the corner have loads of experience & contacts to ensure that you are safe and get the footage you want.

Come and experience the call of the wild.

Play Golf in the world’s most beautiful greens.

Come to South Africa now while the going is still good.

I look forward to meeting you in South Africa – the last frontier!

Here I am in Vienna – eine Welt Stadt as we say in German – translated a World City.

And yes that we surely are. Cosmopolitan, sophisticated, wealthy with a sense of socialism, plus law and order. Respect for nature – we have trees – can’t just chop down a tree, you need permission from the local governing body to do that, yes even if that tree is in your garden and even if you planted that tree forty years ago – you cannot decide to just chop it down. Trees must be protected.

Same goes for the trash you can’t just throw your trash any where. Trash has to be sorted for recycling. Thats a good thing – we are being environmentally aware you know.

Plus we’re part of the EU and our currency, the € Euro is a strong one.

Never mind all that – women have equal rights , we can strutt our stuff physically and mentally. People can believe in God or not. We can choose from a range of political parties from right to lefter to left than left.

Seems like a good place to be in – the land of milk and honey. But yet I often think of Africa. The sheer beauty of it. The wildness. The African bush. The sun which shines so abundantly. Lions and elephants.

And okay I’ll be realistic: war, hunger, poverty, poaching and corruption.

But still my heart bleeds for Africa – it is every thing about it. I’m thinking we can send people to the moon. (There are people that believe the moon episode is a Hollywood hoax) Yet some how we can’t sort out Africa. And I don’t mean that it should be colonised and handed out to the whites as we all know you can’t just come in and take over. That is not Christian – even if the missionaries thought it was. And besides that has been done and didn’t work out.

I play with the idea of moving back to Africa. But will my children be safe? How will I earn money – If pay pal and other institutions are not allowed to pay into African accounts? I’m intrigued with living in Namibia. But then that old truth comes back to hit me square in the face – where ever you move you take your self with you.

So before one rushes in to make hasty decisions – my heart will have to listen to the one that sent me into existence in the first place. Is it a desire or a running away from my fears? I’m reminded of the cock roaches that all scuttle off into the crevices when you switch on the light but they are there to come out again when you switch the light off.

So here I am doing a job for Radio Africa International – what else? Doing PR and getting institutions to pay out money for African journalists and African Radio Stations so they can get with it and worldly and hopefully broadcast inspiring messages of health, wealth and politics to the deprived African masses.

But hey I’m free and can tell you Africa is at least worth a visit – care to join me?

Ory Okolloh grew up in Africa.

She admits that she didn’t belong to the poorest of the poor but by no means did her family live the way a middle class European or American lives.

She gives a touching talk about how it’s up to us to change the world. That is so up my alley. It’s up to us.

So okay I’m not African. I don’t have black skin and black curly hair. I don’t even live in Africa any more. (But I have a lot of friends that do, so I hope that counts for something). My friends range from an assortment of skin colors.

An African Activist is born by not accepting the status quo just as any activist is born that way. I’m an activist.

This reminds me of the statement Gandhi appropriately made, “You must be the change you want to see in the world.”

Following that statement has to be the biggest challenge ever even if you’re a whitey like me. All too often it is easy to blame the other or even worse make excuses for mistreating people.

I believe underneath our skin colors and our entrapments of culture and society we are all the same.

I hear it all the time – even here in Europe – black people are lazy bastards, Turks are primitive, Americans are stupid bla bla… But all you need to do is look and you see the the same degress of laziness, primitiveness and stupidty here amongst us so called civilised people.

Yeah there are things that make me raving mad where I feel racism announcing itself to me.

Things like female circumcision and making women hide them selves. But when that happens I see past their cultural beliefs and identify with the person within. And that doesn’t come easy.

You have to train yourself to let go of all that crap which you think makes you superior to some one else. I certainly have believed it on many occasions. And because I believed that, many times I was also made to feel inadequate.

Yeah Robert Mugabe still pisses me off, just like John Vorster did back in white South African days.

Any way I could go on and on about this but I just wanted to introduce you to Ory Okolloh. Watch this video of her giving a talk on the making of an African Activist.
If Bill finds out that I’m displaying pictures of him in bed with 2 pussys – he is gonna plain freak out and he might even get cross with me and talk to me like he did 25 years ago when I was still a kid learning the ropes.

So don’t tell him you got the picture from me. You wouldn’t want him to be angry with me would you? He might even decide to stop partnering with me. And if he does that well then I’m not exactly sure if I could pull off these wild adventure trips with out him. Because that’s one thing Bill knows how to do. He knows how to plan a moer (Afrikaans word for huge/helluva fantastic) of an event.

That’s exactly why Richard Branson bought into Bill’s idea for the Virgin Money launch in South Africa. Because Bill has the fantasy and err the balls to pull it off. Obviously Richard has the moolah to pay for it because you know what they say Money Talks Bullshit walks. So yeah we love Richard Branson – he doesn’t whine about the budget. See the video on the page that says why Richard Branson chose us.

But back to Bill in bed with 2 pussys – I just can’t resist showing you what goes on with these producers. You know it’s always the same they sweet talk the babes with promises of fame just to get them into the sack. I’m sure if I had of succumbed to that way back when, I wouldn’t be in the position to actually show you this picture today which was taken just recently by his woman, Karen. Karen gave me the pic to show me he hasn’t changed a bit.

I agree Karen – he’s still getting pussy and he’s still the hottest producer on the African continent.

So here is the evidence:

So what do you think? Is Bill a dirty old man or what?

Aaah how do I start this blog session?

Well this morning Bill and I were having our usual skype session, planning and scheming about how to give people the ultimate wild adventures experience in Africa.

Suddenly a YouTube link appears and Bill’s exact words are: Please look at this – you will cry I did! With the crying face smiley next to the comment.

Now my immediate thought was: No I do not feel like being traumatised by emotional animal films right now. ( I was thinking in terms of Lassie Come Home which still makes me weep to this day.) I have a succesful day planned. You know what I mean.

Non the less after I finished doing what I had to do I sat down to watch the recommended Heart Break YouTube Video.

Firstly I must say the video is dated, old footage. But the content is incredibly touching.

In 1969 two gentlemen found a neglected Lion Cub for sale in London at the famous Harrods. They took the pitiful cub home, fed it, played with it, walked it and loved it.

But well lions get huge and I mean really big. Have you ever seen a real live lion? Picture your house kitty as tall as your car with it’s face as big as your car window. Imagine how many cans of food you need to keep it purring and cuddly.

So the only option was to try and make him wild again and return him to freedom in the plains of Africa.

This is quite an undertaking. Even though lions are huge and wild – they are quite easy to domesticate if you have them as a cub. Because essentially they are lazy. So if you can pander to their hunger well then you’re half way there to having a big feline friend. This does not mean you should under estimate the power of their swipes or bites. Just remember what house kitty does big lion does too. So playful can turn out deathly.

So teaching a lion how to fend for himself is the hardest part. To go out and make a kill so he can eat. Just like house cats – thats why it’s unfair to expect them to go and catch mice to fend for them selves if they’re used to getting designer cat food. Well mine think mice are for torturing and not for eating.

The 2 English gentlemen managed to get the lion to Africa. Of course there was only one man who can handle such a task. The true Lion King – George Adamson. (Sadly George Adamson was murdered by Somalian bandits in 1989.)

The most incredible aspect is that the 2 gentlemen that bought the lion out to Africa returned many years later to see how he was doing – and the lion remembered his saviors.

I defy anyone to tell me animals are not capable of bonding. Friendship comes in many forms.
